San Pedro de Tejada (Burgos)

The faces on this wonderful pair of sculptures look as if they are portraits.
The dropped trousers of the male (very rare if not unique in male exhibitionists) foreshadow the satires of misericord carving,
but these figures are definitely minatory, not satirical.
It is a pity that the male's erection has been hacked off.
